Is this a real app?

Yes — it's called a Progressive Web App (PWA). It runs the same as any app from the App Store or Google Play. The only difference is you install it directly from the website instead of through a store, which means no ads, no tracking, and instant updates.

Why isn't this in the App Store?

Submitting to Apple ($99/year) and Google Play ($25 once) requires developer accounts, review processes that can take weeks, and ongoing maintenance. A PWA gives you the same experience without any of those barriers — and the savings let me focus on the books.

Will it work without internet?

Yes — once installed, the main pages and book catalog work even without a signal. New content requires internet to load, but the app shell is fully cached on your device.

How do I uninstall?

Just like a regular app — long-press the icon on your home screen and select Remove or Uninstall. On desktop, right-click the app's icon in your Start menu/Dock.

Will it use a lot of storage?

No — the entire site is under 20 MB. About the size of a couple of photos. Updates happen in the background.
